        The Ballaleshwar Temple at pali is the eighth Ganesha temple to be visited during the Asthavinayak Darshan tour. Among the Ashtavinayakas, Ballaleshwar is the only Ganesh who is named after his devotee. Astavinayakas,Ballal Vinayak at Pali, is associated with a legend where Ganapati is said to have come to the aid of a young lad, who was a fervent devotee of Ganapatiand is famous by his devotee's name. The murti of Vinayaka sits on a stone throne, facing east with its trunk turned left and sitting against a background of Riddhi and Siddhi waving chamaras. The murti's eyes and navel contain diamonds.

         The Astvinayak Ballaleshwar On being pleaced by devotion of Ballal, Shri Ganesh remained in the stone worshipped by Ballal & hence is called as Ballaleshwar of Pali. The idol of Ballaleshwar Vinayaka sits on a stone throne. This idol faces east and with its trunk turned towards left side. This idol sits against a background of silver which displays Buddhi and Siddhi waving the chamaras. We can see diamonds in the idol's eyes and navel. The idol of Shri Ballaleshwar s about 3 feet in height. During Dakshinayan at sun-rise, the sun rays falls exactly on the Vinayaka. There are two Sanctums (Gribhagriha) in the temple. Inner sanctum is quite big & is 15 feet high. Outer sanctum is 12 feet high & it has rat idol with Modak in his hands & facing Ganesh.

         Ballaleshwar Vinayak Temple is situated between Sarasgad Fort and the river Amba. The original wooden temple was renovated in the year 1760 and a stone temple was designed by Shri Fadnis. This stone was carved in the shape of letter 'Shree' which was made by mixing lead with the cement during its construction. The Temple is east facing Temple walls are made quite strong by mixing lead with cement while construction.Hall of the temple is 40 feet long & 20 feet broad & it was built by late Shri Krishnaji Ringe in 1910 A.D. Hall is very beautiful with 8 pillars resembling cyprus throne tree. Temple complex is tiled & it encircles two lakes. Water of one lake towards right is reserved for Vinayaka's Pooja. There is Huge Bell made with 5 metals was brought from Europe by Peshwas during there raid in a Church in Vasai & Sashti.

Daily Schedule in Ballaleshwar Temple at. Pali

1.The doors of the Ballaleshwr temple are opened at 5 AM in the morning and the devotees can start worshipingthe Lord

2.Ballaleshwar from 5:30 AM onwards.

3.The Kakad aarti and Panchopachari Puja are done by the priest at 5:00 AM

4.Shodopachari Puja is conducted before 12:00 PM in the after noon.

5.The Panchamriti Puja is conducted after sun set.

6.The Dhoop Aarti is conducted at night

7.The temple is closed for the devotees after the last puja and after this the deity takes rest.

Festivals in Ballaleshwar Temple at Pali

In the month of Bhadrapad shuddh ( the waxing period) from first day to panchami and in the month of Magh shuddh till panchami, major festivals are celebrated in this temple. The Dhundi Vinayak festival is celebrated from Jestha Shuddha Pratipada to Panchami (5 days). The rituals of Shri Ballaleshwar on Bhadrapad Chaturthi and Panchami Day are performed for Dhundi Vinayak Utsav including Purana Pravachan, Bhajan Kirtan, birth highlights and Maha naivadya.
